Deciding to update the closet situation in our home was really quite easy. Deciding on the system to use, and the company to deal with was a much more daunting task.

We did a lot of research and built a long list of questions and compromises based on the scenario that we wanted to accomplish. We found we could always do most of it, but the finished product would not be exactly what we wanted – and that was simply a non-starter for us.

Enter Ian Wyllie and the SpaceCreations team, true professionals in every sense of the word.

After the initial phone call, Ian immediately made arrangements to visit the site and took measurements (it was quite complicated) and discussed my vision for the project. We wanted to convert a small bedroom into a walk-in closet. He left with a smile and the promise of information by email the following day.

Ian did follow up the next day with a complete breakdown of the possibilities (three of them), including 3D diagrams in colour no less, so we could verify the wood grain we could choose, and a complete cost breakdown. We could see from this part of the experience that Ian was the person to do handle the job.

In fact, we were so impressed with the whole realm of possibilities that we asked him to transform several other closet spaces in the house at the same time. That took three days of back and forth, and agreement was accomplished in the same professional fashion.

The process breezed along smoothly, with installation dates agreed and confirmed, decisions made - such as who would prepare the room for install (SpaceCreations would if requested for an additional cost, or we could do it ourselves) – and information exchanged.

The day of the install was greatly anticipated by the entire family and when Ian arrived with the materials (exactly on time), we all exploded with delight with what we saw. This was beyond special. As the work progressed, the banter between the crew was amazing, as each 1/16 th of an inch was accounted for. The pace was perfect. Even the family cat was able to consider the situation with curiosity. True to the plan, the house was fitted within two days – three walk-ins, the front hall, and the spare bedroom.

The craftsmanship was superb; the product exceptional, and the whole process was entirely pleasing. Add to the fact that the cost was better than any other considered and you will understand why we have no reservations about voluntarily giving Ian Wyllie and his team a five star rating. And by the way, we had never met before this occasion.

One of the unique features to consider when selecting the SpaceCreations system is that the entire installation is portable, and can be easily disassembled and set up in a new location. Repairing the few screw holes and re-painting the original space is simple, so your closet investment can always go with you if you so choose.

We're told he does other storage solution planning as well, and when the time comes to address other parts of our home, such as the garage, we plan to have him back.
